FOREIGN MINISTER CONDEMNS ATTACK ON NIGERIA EMBASSY IN INDONESIA
The Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama has condemned the Thursday 25, attack on the Nigeria Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The minister said the perpetrators would be investigated and brought to book.
“Absolutely deplorable and disgraceful criminal behaviour by Nigerian hooligans who without justification attacked the Nigerian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia today.
Every effort will be made to identify them and see they are severely punished. Totally unacceptable behaviour. #StayHomeSaveLives #COVID19 @NigeriaGov @DigiCommsNG.” Onyeama said in a tweet.
The demonstrators believed to be Nigerians pulled down the Nigerian flag and shredded it to pieces, then destroyed some of the properties in the premises while protesting the alleged negligence of the embassy to protect them from discriminatory practices from the Indonesian officials.

The incident is coming barely a week after a building belonging to the Nigeria High Commission was demolished in Accra, Ghana.
