FRAUDSTER BAGS 14 MONTHS IN PRISON FOR DEFRAUDING AMERICAN OF N19.6 MILLION
A Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun state has sentenced a 32-year-old man to jail for defrauding an American of N19.6 million.
Samuel Oteyowo, a graduate of Civil Engineering was sentenced to 14 months in prison on Monday for defrauding Warren Doht of an amount totalling the sum of N19,664,128.50 online.
Justice Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel who presided over the case found Oteyowo guilty of a crime contrary to Section 22(2) (b) (ii) of the Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Act, 2015 and punishable under Section 22 (2) of the same Act.
