GUNMEN KIDNAP TWO PRIESTS IN NIGER STATE
Gunmen suspected to be bandits on 3rd August 2023 kidnapped two priests of St Luke’s Catholic Church, Gyedna, Garam Ward in Tafa LGA, Niger State.
The information available indicates that the bandits invaded the church premises which is on the outskirts of the town in the early hour of today, Thursday and kidnapped the duo priests identified as Fr. Paul Sanogo and Seminarian Melchior.
The gunmen spent about an hour shooting into the air to scare away the residents of the community and to register their invasiveness before they whisked the priests away.
Meanwhile, the police tactical teams had been dispatched to the scene to impede further attack on the community.
