GUNMEN STORM NIGER COMMUNITY, KIDNAP '50 RESIDENTS'
At least 50 people have been abducted by terrorists in a midnight attack in the Kuchi community in Munya Local Area of Niger State.
Available report indicates that the gunmen invaded the village amid the rain, and launched a house-to-house search, picking their victims and assembled them for onward movement to their enclave.
Amid the attack, the abductees were reportedly trapped by the banks of the Dangunu River which overflowed due to the heavy rainfall that fell for over 10 hours across the state.
Meanwhile, nine of the victims had been rescued by a joint security task force, including members of the vigilante.
