I AM SURPRISED SOME YORUBA PEOPLE COULD BE SUPPORTING KILLER HERDSMEN TO DESTROY MY HOUSE- SUNDAY IGBOHO
Sunday Igboho on Tuesday alleged that some Yoruba people supported killer Herdsmen to destroy his house.
“I am surprised that some Yoruba people could be supporting killer herdsmen to destroy my house. This saddens me,” the Yoruba activist said after hoodlums set one of his houses ablaze in Ibadan in what many suspects is a reprisal attack.
Recall about 11 houses including that of the Seriki Fulani of Ibarapa, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, were set on fire by irate youths in Igangan community of Ibarapa zone of Oyo State on Friday night after the visit of Sunday Igboho to enforce his seven-day quit notice to the Fulani herdsmen in the area accused of carrying out kidnappings and other nefarious activities.
“My agitations are for all of us to come together against killer herdsmen who have been terrorizing the Yorubas by kidnapping, killing our brothers, and raping our women in Yoruba Land.
“To my amazement, some Yoruba people are aiding these killer herdsmen,” Igboho lamented.
Igboho disclosed that properties worth 50 million naira were destroyed by the arsonists.
