The Bauchi State Police have arrested suspected kidnappers, who killed a 15years old boy named Abubakar Sadiq Suleiman, after collecting #5.5M ransom.

This was confirmed by the spokesman of the Bauchi State Police command, Kamal Datti. He disclosed that the police has arrested the suspected kidnappers believed to have killed Suleiman,a secondary school student in Bauchi.

Datti said that investigations are ongoing t arrest the remaining suspects in the kidnappers gang.

He said "we are disturbed by this incident and the police in Bauchi are on the trail of the remaining culprits and bring them to book"

The victim's father, Dr Suleiman Auwal narrated how his son was killed, he said "I received a call from my son and heard some people asking me if I was his father, I confirmed to them that I was his father."

"I was in the office when they called me, they informed me that the had kidnapped my son, and that I must pay a ransom of #10M," he told newsmen in Bauchi.

Suleiman Auwal said the kidnappers called him after two days, demanding for #7million and after series of pleas and negotiations, he paid #5.5M.

The bereaved father revealed that the money was paid through two accounts, but regretted that it was still not enough to salvage his son.

"They said we should go to Inkil or Kangere, a suburb of the metropolis to pick my son, when we got there, we could not see him to pick him as promised by his abductors."

Auwal said the police had recovered his remains.
