PIRATES HIJACKS GHANAIAN FLAGGED VESSEL IN NIGERIA, KIDNAPS 5 CREW
Pirates on Monday, November 16 hijacked MV DELTA, a Ghanaian flagged vessel with the registration number (IMO 9015929) and kidnapped 5 crew members who are all believed to be Ghanaians in the early hours of the morning.
Report indicates that about 6 or 7 pirates attacked the vessel at 0.4:00 UTC vessel was attacked in position 03° 32.07 N 006° 09.04 E, 44 NM S of Brass, Nigeria.
Sources say the pirates have destroyed the communications and navigation equipment and the ship is drifting with two crew members on board.
