LAGOS FIRE SERVICE SUCCESSFULLY EXTINGUISH IBIS HOTEL, EJIGBO MARKET FIRES IN RAPID SUCCESSION
A fire outbreak at Hotel Ibis Royale, Airport Road, 7&8 bus stop, Ajao Estate, Isolo, Lagos, was swiftly contained by the Isolo and Bolade Fire Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
The fire originated from an open bar and was reported at 16:50 hours on Wednesday 20th September 2023. The prompt response of the Fire Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service prevented the fire from spreading to the adjoining topmost floor of a two-story penthouse, ensuring that the two-story building with 46 rooms suffered minimal damage.
Additionally, Oja Oba Moruf Int'l Market at Ejigbo Road, Iyana Ejigbo Lagos, experienced a fire incident at 04:06 in the early hours of Thursday 21st September 2023. The Ejigbo Fire Station crew quickly arrived and extinguished the fire, which affected only five lock-up shops out of a row of eight.
Fortunately, both rescue operations were successful without any casualties.
