LAGOS SHUTS DOWN ITS BROADCAST STATIONS, SUSPENDS STATE ACTIVITIES FOR 3 DAYS

The Lagos State Government has shut down all its broadcast stations. 


The stations include Lagos Television, Eko FM, Eko FM, Radio Lagos and Traffic Radio. 


This is coming hours after angry youths stormed the Television Continental (TVC) at Ikosi, Ketu and set it ablaze. 


The attack prompted the the station to go off air as many of its staff were in panic. 


The youths had also burnt down several BRT buses belonging to the Lagos State Government at the Oyingbo station. 


The decision of the State Government was part of the measures taken since angry youths had started attacking public and private owned facilities in reaction to the alleged killing of #ENDSARS protesters in Lagos State on Tuesday night. 


Military men were accused of killing #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate area of Lagos State. 


Although, Governor Sanwo-Olu said no death was recorded in the Lekki shooting. 


The State Government has also directed the immediate suspension of all State activities for 3-days except those connected with governance of security in the State and the management of the current issue. 


Governor Sanwo-Olu directed the lowering of the flags in all Government establishment for 3 days.


"I have directed the constitution of a 5-man Fact-Finding Committee into the Rules of Engagement ordered and adopted by the Nigerian Army to be headed by a retired military officer not less than the rank of a General. The report will be presented to the President within -2 weeks," he added.
