LOCKDOWN RELAXATION IN OGUN POSTPONED TO MAY 11TH
The Lockdown relaxation in Ogun State has been postponed to May 11.
According to the Rush hour show on Star Fm, the Special Adviser on Public Affairs in Ogun State, Mr Remmy Hassan, made this known in a statement issued on May 1.
The statement claims the delay is as a result of Ogun state’s late commencement of President Buhari’s initial lockdown directive.
Recall that President Buhari’s ordered lockdown Lagos, Ogun and the FCT on March 30. However, Governor Dapo Abiodun shifted Ogun state’s compliance till Friday, April 3.
The Governor said he got permission from the President to shift his state’s lockdown order so that residents could stock food and other daily needs.
This new development means only Lagos and the FCT would experience the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions from May 4.
