The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is set to graduate 10,000 recruit constables from various training institutions across the country, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing personnel strength and operational capacity for improved service delivery to the Nigerian public.
The passing out parade ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025, and will be held at four Police Colleges and twelve Training Schools nationwide. The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, will preside over the event as the reviewing officer.
According to the NPF, the constables have undergone intensive physical and mental training, equipping them with the necessary skills and orientation to tackle the nation’s evolving security challenges while maintaining strict adherence to legal and ethical standards.
The Inspector-General has expressed confidence in the professionalism, integrity, and dedication of the newly trained officers, emphasizing their crucial role in upholding the honour and reputation of the Force. He noted that their deployment would significantly enhance crime response, community engagement, and overall public safety across the country.
Upon graduation, the constables will be posted to various state commands, where they are expected to contribute to local policing initiatives and strengthen collaboration between the police and the communities they serve. The addition of these personnel is anticipated to bolster existing police units and foster a safer environment nationwide.
