ONE PERSON FEARED DEAD IN EBONYI COMMUNAL CLASH
One Chima Orji of Idima Autonomous Community has been brutally murdered and headed while four persons were taken hostage in a fresh crisis that broke out between three communities, Oso-Edda, Amasiri, and Nde Ndukwe on Monday 6 through Wednesday 8 February 2023 in Ebonyi State.
Information available indicates that there had been disagreement over landed boundaries between the three communities for years which has been managed from turning violent until the crisis surfaced this week.
The invasion started with the people from Nde Ndukwe and Amasiri, Afikpo North LGA who invaded Oso-Edda, Afikpo South LGA farm settlements and villages and started destroying houses, properties, and farm produce in sight.
Meanwhile, the abducted four people have been freed as security personnel has restored peace in the communities.
