OSUN LOSES TOP GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL

Osun State Government has announced the death of Jare Adebisi, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

The State Government broke the sad news in a statement released by Ismail Omipidan, the Chief Press Secretary to Oyetola, via its official twitter handle on Saturday, June 13, 2020.

The statement revealed that Adebisi, a 54-year-old man, died on Friday, June 12 after a brief illness.

It also debunked rumors stating that the Deputy COS died of COVID-19.

“He died last night after a brief illness. His death has nothing to do with the Covid-19 pandemic. Late Adebisi will be buried this morning in Ilobu town, State of Osun.” the statement said.

Governor Oyetola condoled with the family, describing the late Adebisi's death as a personal loss to him and the Government he heads.

He described the deceased as a dependable aide who carried out any assignment given to him with dispatch and with little or no supervision.

Oyetola saluted the late Adebisi's forthrightness, a deep sense of patriotism, loyalty, and commitment to his government and the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.

The late Adebisi served both as Deputy Chief of Staff and Special Adviser in the Governor’s Office, during the administration of the former Governor, Rauf Aregbesola.

He had an LL.M degree and was pursuing his doctorate programme in Law before his death.
