OSUN STATE GOVERNMENT ASSURES INDIGENES OF THEIR JOB SECURITY DESPITE CEDING THE UNIVERSITY TO OYO STATE
The Osun State Government has assured indigenes of the State working in Lautech of their job security despite ceding the university to the Oyo State Government.
On Friday, November 20, Eons Intelligence reported that the Osun State Government transferred full ownership of the institution to the Oyo State Government.
The Osun State Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode, made this disclosure in a statement on Saturday, November 21.
She said; “All workers of Osun extraction either in the College of Health Sciences and LAUTECH ceded to Osun or those in Ogbomoso are assured of job security. There will be no intimidation or discrimination against them in the discharge of their duties.”
The Commissioner revealed that the agreement between the two States says that indigenes of Oyo and Osun State working in either of the two entities will retain all their rights and obligations stipulated in their letters of engagements.
She said; “The Osun State Government wishes to inform citizens that there is no need to fret about the dissolution, as all workers of Osun extraction are assured of the security of their jobs.”
Egbemode added that students of the University from Osun State will pay the same tuition fees as their Oyo counterparts.
