POLICE ARREST THREE ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS IN AGEGE AREA OF LAGOS STATE
Security operatives in Lagos State on Tuesday night arrested three armed robbery suspects in the Agege area of Lagos State.
The suspects; Ridwan Imran, 20, Lukman Abiodun, 18, and Abdulahi Isa, 18, were arrested for attacking a pedestrian and carting away the victim's N100,00, three mobile phones and a wristwatch.
The suspects had approached the victim for financial help around 9pm along the Isheri - Berger Garage. The victim clearly stated he had no money.
The robbery gang then began to harass him and chased him to Agege Stadium, smashing his head with a bottle before pushing him into a drainage.
They then proceeded to dispossess him of a hundred thousand naira, three mobile phones and a wristwatch all estimated at over N600,000:00.
The Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, who received a distress call about the incident, mobilised security operatives to the scene, where the suspects were arrested.
