POLICE NAB SIX SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS IN ADAMAWA
Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Adamawa State Command has announced the arrest of six suspected kidnappers who allegedly attacked the Ngurore Police Station and kidnapped a woman and her daughter in Yola South Local Government Area.
Recall that Eons intelligence reported that incident on the 10th of October, although the victim subsequently escaped from the kidnappers den.
State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Barde made this known to newsmen in Yola on Thursday.
Mr Mohammed stated that the Command is not relenting in its resolve to rid the State of all criminal elements terrorising the State in whatever guise.
He called on all residents and stakeholders not to relent in supporting the Police in its constitutional role of fostering peace in the State.
He urged all members of the public to keep providing useful information to the Police to "Ensure peace and security across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State."
He also stated that such information given by members of the public would be treated with estreme level of confidentiality.
Responding, Mr Olu Adegoke, State Chairman of PCRC, assured Mr Mohammed Barde of the council's support and co-operation in the fight against crime and other social vices in the State.
According to Mr Adegoke, “We are here to welcome you to Adamawa and give you our support and cooperation, we have been doing that and we will continue to do it."
