POLICE RESCUE ABDUCTED FAMILY MEMBERS OF MURDERED BAUCHI LAWMAKER, MUSA BARAZA
The Bauchi Police command said it has rescued the abducted family members of the slain Bauchi lawmaker, Hon. Musa Baraza, after spending five days in kidnappers’ den.
Eons Intelligence had earlier reported that Baraza’s wives, Rashida Musa Mante (40), Rahina Musa Mante (35) and his one-year-old daughter Fausar Musa Mante were kidnapped by the assailants after killing him at his residence in the Dass Local Government Area of the State, on Thursday, August 13.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Bauchi Command, Ahmed Wakili, who confirmed their release to The Nation, said they were rescued on Monday, August 17 around 11 pm with no ransom paid.

Wakili said the rescued family members of the deceased were immediately taken to the teaching hospital in Bauchi for medical checkup.
“They were admitted there for medical attention and no suspects were arrested yet. I will give you further details later,” the Police spokesman said.
