RESIDENTS OF OWU ELATED AS GPC DONATES PALLIATIVES
Jubilation rocks the Papalanto residential area of Owu kingdom, Abeokuta in Ogun State as the GPC Energy and Logistics company in the area donated palliatives to residents to alleviate suffering of the residents occasioned by ongoing COVID-19 lockdown.
The items donated range from hundreds of bags of rice, beans, cartons of noodles and assorted beverages.
The items were received by the Kabiyesi of Papaland, His Majesty, Oba Rasaq Aderinsoye from the Chairman/CEO of the company, Chief Elvis Chukwudi Okonji.
The Royal Highness in his remark commended the staff and management of the company for their kind gestures and the virtues of Chief Okonji, donating such items to ease the residents of effects occasioned by the lockdown.
He emphasized that he and the Chief in council honoured him with the title, the “Babalaje of Papalanto”, which signifies the personality mark of a trade warrior commanding serious business in an area, owing largely to his proven score card and laudable achievements.
The GPC CEO appreciated the Kabiyesi for his accommodating spirit and support which he freely gives to support the company since it began operations over 20 years.
He also urged the Royal head and his aids to abide by and inculcate all safety measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
