RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT DIRECTS ALL SCHOOLS IN THE STATE TO REOPEN FROM MONDAY
The Rivers State government has directed all schools in the State to reopen from Monday January 4.
Chidi Adiele, Permanent Secretary of the Rivers State Ministry of Education, made this disclosure in a statement on Sunday.
He stated that all schools in Rivers are to resume academic activities on January 4 for the completion of the first term academic session.
He noted that the order was from the State Governor, Nyesom Wike, in line with the school calendar published in August 2020.
The Secretary however warned the schools to maintain all COVID-19 protocols, including the wearing of face masks and the use of hand sanitisers.
He also urged all schools to split its classes into morning and afternoon sessions to avoid overcrowding.
