ROAD RAGE: ENUGU ASSEMBLY MAJORITY LEADER BASHES CITIZEN'S CAR, THREATENS TO LOCK VICTIM UP
One Emmanuel Eneh has cried out after the convoy of Enugu State House of Assembly Majority leader, Ikechukwu Ezeugwu not only bashed his car, but also threatened to lock him up in a Police cell throughout the yuletide period.
In a letter sighted by Eons intelligence, Mr Eneh alleged that the Majority leader's driver bashed his car with official SUV in a reckless attempt to over-take him from the right side. He said the incident occurred on Wednesday, opposite Anamco, on Akanu Ibiam Airport road, Enugu.
He said he expected the occupants of the vehicle to be apologetic and civil, judging from the fact that they were obviously at fault and being Governmmet Officials as well.
However, he said what he got was the very opposite. He said; "To my greatest dismay, he came and began threatening and intimidating me with his Policemen. He said I will spend my Christmas in police net, and I asked him a simple question before he drove off."
I said, "Your driver scattered my car and you come here to say this? He couldn't say anything. Except, that I should go or better stay there and left. I wept not because of the damage, but because I never excepted such and coming from a public figure like him, that was damaging."
Ikechukwu Ezeugwu is the Majority leader of Enugu State House Of Assembly, representing Udenu Constituency.
Ikechukwu Ezeugwu is not new to controversies. His time in the Enugu house has been filled with them. Most notably, he sponsored the infamous and controversial Ex-Governors and Deputies pension bill. He however blamed the public outrage and outcry that followed the bill on the lack of trust between the Government and the governed.
This submission left people wondering why there will not be distrust in a situation where the government is willing to spend a billion naira yearly on an already rich Governor when the same state struggles to pay pensions and teachers.
