RRS OPERATIVES RESCUE MOTORIST FROM EXTORTION ATTEMPT
RRS Operatives Rescue Motorist from Extortion Attempt. In a swift response to a distress call around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives successfully rescued a motorist (name withheld) who was held hostage by two miscreants. The incident unfolded when the victim's vehicle broke down on Otunba Jobi Fele Way, in the heart of the Central Business District, Ikeja.
One of the suspects, identified as Michael Desmond, 28, boldly claimed entitlement to what the miscreants commonly refer to as "Owo Omo Taku." Acting promptly, the RRS operatives apprehended Michael Desmond, while his accomplice managed to flee the scene. The operatives ensured the stranded vehicle was safely towed away from the location, averting any further inconvenience for the motorist.
