SEVEN FEARED DEAD AS AMOTEKUN OPERATIVES, FULANI HERDSMEN CLASH IN OYO COMMUNITY
About seven persons were reportedly killed after men of the Oyo State Security Network Agency popularly known as Amotekun and some Fulani herdsmen clashed at Aiyete in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of the State.
The incident started at Okebi village in the early hours of Saturday, January 9.
Report says the slain persons were Fulani herdsmen suspected to be carrying out kidnapping activities in ibarapa part of Oyo state.
It was gathered that the herdsmen engaged the Amotekun operatives at Okebi and the clash extended to aiyete leading to the death of the victims.

Meanwhile, the Amotekun Corps Commandant, Col. Olayinka Olayanju said the Corps arrested some suspected criminals in the State.
At least eleven persons have been killed during clashes with Amotekun Corps operatives in the last few days in the State.
Three people were killed during a clash between the Amotekun Corps and some youths in Tapa town.
An undergraduate of the University of Ibadan allegedly killed by an operative of Amotekun in December.
In the same month, an operative of the Amotekun Corps shot dead a police officer in Oyo town.
Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde on Friday, January 8, said he would not spare any member of Amotekun Corps who goes against the law.
