SUPREME COURT CONFIRMS AKEREDOLU VALIDLY ELECTED ONDO GOVERNOR
The Supreme Court has confirmed Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu as the validly elected governor of the state.
Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), had dragged the candidate of the All Progressive Congress and governor of the state to court over the nomination of Akeredolu.

The court, in its final ruling today, confirmed Akeredolu as the validly elected governor.
Majority of the justices, four of them, said Akeredolu was the rightful candidate of the APC for the election.
There was a dissent judgement.
In his immediate reaction, Akeredolu said “I have every reason to thank God.”
