SUSPECTED BANDIT KILL TWO, ABDUCT FOUR IN KADUNA STATE
Suspected bandits on 1st May 2023 invaded Kofar Kona area at about 2140hrs, killed two people, and abducted four others in Zaria city, Kaduna State.
The information available indicates that the bandits came in large numbers and headed straight to the residence of a customs officer, Malam Abubakar Modibbo, and kidnapped his wife Asiya Abubakar, his two daughters, Khadijatul Kubra and Hafsat, with one Falalu Ibrahim.
Consequently, one Zaharaddeen Mohammed of Amaru and Sunusi Sani of Dorayi, who were simply passing by was shot. But Sani could not make it as he gave up the ghost in the hospital as a result of a severe injury he sustained from the gunshots.
Similarly, the bandits who immediately proceeded to Dorayi village on the outskirts of Zaria rustled several cattle, abducted about 20 persons, and set ablaze the residence of one Alhaji Dalha and two motorcycles.
Meanwhile, the security operative combat with the bandits in a gun duel which made them abandon their victims as they retracted to the bush in the face of
battle.
