SUSPECTED HERDSMEN KILL FIVE RESIDENTS IN KEANA LGA OF NASARAWA, SET PROPERTIES ABLAZE
Assailants suspected to be herdsmen have killed five Tiv farmers in Gidan Sule village, Keana Local Government of Nasarawa State, Eons Intelligence have gathered.
Sources say the assailants invaded the village on Wednesday night around 11pm, shooting sporadically, and killed five Tiv farmers comprising of four females and one male
The attackers also set some houses ablaze during the attack.
Confirming the killing, the Nasarawa State Police PRO, ASP Ramhan Nansel, said; “On Wednesday, July 22, at about 11:00pm, information was received that unknown gunmen while shooting sporadically, attacked a particular compound at Gidan Sule Village along Lafia- Makurdi road.”
“4 corpses were recovered at the scene while 3 injured victims were rescued and rushed to Odumu Hospital for medical attention; one person later died while receiving treatment at the same hospital.”
The Police PRO added that efforts are ongoing to arrest the killers and bring them to justice.
