SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUDSTER AT LARGE AFTER HACKING GIRLFRIEND TO DEATH IN BENIN
A suspected internet fraudster, known as ‘Yahoo Boy’ in local parlance, identified as Osa Osaretin is currently on the run after his girlfriend, Elohor Nancy Williams, was found hacked to death in his residence at Egor in Edo State, on Christmas eve.
The suspect who is said to have recently returned from Ghana to Nigeria, had on Friday, December 24, invited the victim, said to be his girlfriend to his residence, on the pretence that he was ill and needed some attention.
However, Eons Intelligence gathered that her father became worried when she failed to return home before dusk. According to her relatives, her phone rang repeatedly but was unanswered the whole time. The suspects phomes were said to be switched off at the same time. Eventually, they decided to launch a search for her.
“They got to his apartment and found it locked. They broke into it and found Nancy in a pool of her own blood. Some parts of her body had been harvested. Osaretine is nowhere to be found at the moment. We urge the appropriate authorities to assist Nancy’s relatives with meting out justice. They are heartbroken at the moment as a result of the tragic incident", a close family ource said.
He said the body has been deposited in the morgue and the Oolice have commenced investigations.
