THREE SHOT AS FRUSTRATED PARENTS THROW STONES AT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS DURING HANDOVER OF ABDUCTED JANGEBE SCHOOLGIRLS
Violence marred the moments of joy and relief of parents reuniting with their children who were abducted from Government Girls Science Secondary School, Jangebe Zamfara.
Eons Intelligence gathered that the government had insisted that parents would not be able to leave with their children until a formal handover ceremony had been done.
However, the ceremony continued to drag on for long, and parents began to get impatient as many feared for their safety on their return journey home.
Soon, a mob began throwing stones at government officials which led to security forces shooting at about three persons, according to eyewitness reports.
