TINUBU, FIRST LADY, OTHERS MOURN AKWA IBOM FIRST LADY'S PASSING

President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have extended their heartfelt condolences to Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, following the passing of his wife, Patience Eno.


The First Lady's death was announced by the state's Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, revealing that she died at a hospital on September 26, 2024, surrounded by family members.


In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Patience Eno as a humble, resilient, and loyal partner to Governor Eno, who had supported his administration tirelessly.


"The President recognizes her selfless service to the people of Akwa Ibom State, particularly through her 'Golden Initiative for All,' which demonstrated her passion for serving others with love, honesty, and dedication," the statement read.


The Southern Governors' Forum, led by Chairman and Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, also condoled with Governor Eno, praising Patience Eno as a remarkable woman who was a pillar of strength and inspiration to many.


First Lady Oluremi Tinubu similarly commiserated with Governor Eno, his children, and the entire citizens of Akwa Ibom State, mourning the loss of a devoted partner and pillar of strength.


The outpouring of support and condolences from Nigeria's top leaders reflects the significant impact Patience Eno had on the lives of those around her.
