TROOPS KILL FOUR BANDITS ALONG KADUNA-ABUJA ROAD
Troops of Operation ACCORD, on Wednessday, September 2nd, killed 4 armed bandits at Jeka Da Rabi area along Kaduna-Abuja expressway.
Sequel to actionable Human Intelligence on the infiltration of armed bandits in Kachi area, troops promptly deployed to the scene, laid ambush and engaged the bandits with effective firepower.

Troops overwhelmed the criminals with high-intensity fire, resulting to the killing of four bandits, while four others escaped with gunshot wounds.

One AK 47 rifle and 5 rounds of 9mm with a magazine were recovered from the bandits.
In continuation of the offensive mission against banditry in the region, currently, troops are exploiting the general area of the incident, in search of the fleeing bandits with express orders to bring them into custody while aggressive patrols are underway along the axis.

They have also dominated the general area to ensure that the area is safe from future banditry attacks.
On the same axis on 25 June, 2020, troops of Operation THUNDER STRIKE under the auspices of the ongoing Operation Accord foiled an attempted kidnap of passengers by armed bandits.
The troops intercepted the bandits, rescued the victims.

Consequently, troops of the Nigerian Army, on 21 November, 2018 shot dead 14 bandits operating along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway and Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna State.
No fewer than 31 persons including 18 children and 13 adults were also rescued from the kidnappers by troops of the 1 Division, Kaduna State, during the operation.
The gallant soldiers recovered 18 Ak 47 rifles, 2 pistols, 3 mobile phones and 32 motorcycles from the criminals.
However, two soldiers were shot, while two vigilantes working with the military were killed during the exchange of gunfire.
