Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA Rescue 17 Kidnapped Victims in Kaduna
Troops of Sector 1, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have successfully rescued 17 kidnapped victims during a coordinated operation in Kaduna State on April 9, 2025.
Among those rescued were members of the Ezekiel, Obadiah, and Friday families, including children and adults: Samuel Ezekiel, Williams Ezekiel, Duza Ezekiel, Ishaku Ezekiel, Sunday Ezekiel, Alice Ezekiel, Victoria Ezekiel, Favor Ezekiel, Rebecca Obadiah, Blessing Obadiah, Alheri Obadiah, Gift Obadiah, Jummai Obadiah, Gloria Obadiah, Charity Obadiah, Friday Jessy, and Theresa Friday.
Following the rescue, the victims received medical attention and underwent profiling and debriefing. They were then handed over to the Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Police Force to facilitate their safe reunion with their families.
The military described the operation as a testament to the troops’ courage, professionalism, and commitment to restoring peace and security in the northwest region. Despite ongoing security challenges, the troops continue to demonstrate high morale and operational effectiveness in the fight against banditry and kidnapping.
