The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has put 6 Nigerians among 38 individuals and 15 entities on a list of people and organizations deemed to support terrorism.

Eons Intelligence gathered that the decision was part of the UAE’s keen efforts to target and disrupt networks associated with financing terrorism.

Over the years, the UAE, home to the Middle East financial hub Dubai, has been dedicated to overcoming a perception that it is a hot spot for illicit money.

In February, the government created an Executive Office for Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing.

There were names of individuals from other countries like Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan that the UAE  added to the list.
