UNKNOWN GUNMEN ASSASSINATE INTENDING COUPLES A WEEK TO THEIR MARRIAGE
Unknown gunmen have murdered an intending couple in Arondizuogu in the Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State.
The victims, Ifechukwu Martin and Gloria Mba, whose wedding was billed for January 18, 2023, were killed on Tuesday, January 12, 2023.
The groom’s brother, who was driving them, was also killed in the incident, which caused panic in the area.
The intending couples who were heading home for their marriage were killed alongside the brother who was conveying them in his Keke (tricycle) around Ndiejezie Izuogu in Ideato LGA of Imo State.
Meanwhile, there have been reckless kidnapping, killing and burning of vehicles in Arondizuogu for quite a long period of time now.
Information available indicates that the people of Arondizuogu did not come back for Christmas and New Year celebration following the incessant attacks and kidnapping.
The few that came could not move around in their cars, there was a mass exodus of people from Arondizuogu on Wednesday morning after these last incident.
The gunmen alleged to be behind the attack specialise in stealing flashy cars and killing their owners if they refuse to release them. Students are afraid of going to schools, mothers no longer go to markets for fear of the unknown.
