ZAMFARA SCHOOLGIRLS ABDUCTION: SEVEN FEMALE STUDENTS ESCAPE

Reports indicate that 7 out of the 317 female students abducted by bandits at the Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Zamfara State, have escaped from their abductors.


It was gathered that the girls returned home after claiming that they outsmarted and manoeuvered the bandits while trekking along the forest.


Eons Intelligence had earlier reported that the students were abducted from their boarding school in the early hours of Friday.


Recall that the Zamfara Police Commissioner, CP Abutu Yar, had earlier ordered a joint search and rescue operation with a view to rescuing all 317 students.


Meanwhile, the State Governor, Bello Matawalle, has ordered the immediate closure of all boarding schools in the State.
