NSCDC LAUNCHES 100-FEMALE STRIKE FORCE

As part of measures to boost the Safe School Initiative, SSI, of the Federal Government,

the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC launched the 100-female Strike Force in Benue State, North-Central Nigeria on Friday 25 November 2022.


During the training, the Female Strike Force was exposed to rescue mission operations, Combatant drill and weapon handling, recce/reconnaissance operations, and tips to halt the menace of Sexual Gender Base Violence (SGBV) amongst others.

The participants spent a vigorous period of 3 months to learned the aforesaid techniques under the tutoring of well-drafted instructors from our Command, the Nigerian Army and Nigeria Correctional Service.


The event was graced by dignitaries from all works of life, notable among them are the representative of H.E the Executive Governor of Yobe State Alhaji Mai Mala Buni Senior Special Assistant on Security affairs DCP Zannah Babagana (rtd) and Heads of Federal government Agencies and Parastatals.


Commandant Sa’idu Aliyu through his 2ic enjoined the Female Strike Force while on the field to strictly adhere to the rules of engagements because accidental discharge is not known in the Civil Defence Standard Operational Procedure (SOP).

The POP was concluded with goodwill messages and bits of advice from the invited guest.
