GOVERNOR AKEREDOLU ORDERS HERDSMEN OUT OF ONDO FORESTS WITHIN 7 DAYS
The governor of Ondo State Aakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu has issued a 7-day ultimatum to herdsmen to leave Ondo forest reserves effective Monday, January 18.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Governor blamed rogue herdsmen for the criminal activities in the state including kidnapping for ransoms and other nefarious activities.
Governor Akeredolu has also banned night grazing stating that most farm destruction takes place at night.

He, however, noted that his administration would give a grace period of seven days to herdsmen who wish to carry on with their cattle-rearing business in the state to register with appropriate authorities.
