CORONAVIRUS IS FAR FROM OVER- WHO WARNS AS COUNTRIES EASE LOCKDOWN
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned that the Coronavirus is not yet over as countries begin easing lockdown measures.
WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus issued this warning in a video he posted on his official Twitter handle.
He said as the cases in Europe continue to decline, countries must continue to "find, isolate, test, and treat all cases to ensure the declining trends continue."
The DG expressed concerns about the increase in Coronavirus cases in Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and some parts of Asian countries.
Dr. Ghebreyesus emphasized that the world can only beat Coronavirus if there is global solidarity.
"This virus will not be defeated if we are not United," he said.
