THREE PERSONS FEARED KILLED IN RIVAL CULT CLASH IN OSUN
Reports indicate that three persons were feared killed in a deadly rival cult clash in Osogbo, Osun on Sunday March 28.
The victims are identified as Sogo Owonikoko, popularly called Marley; Daniel and a certain Afeez, popularly known as Eja.
It was gathered that the violence started around 8am at Alie junction near the Obate community, when hoodlums suspected to be members of the Aye Confraternity invaded the area on motorcycles and shot dead Owonikoko.
The clash escalated when the hoodlums shot Daniel in the head and hacked Afeez to death. It was learnt that they fled after killing the trio.
The Osun State Police PRO, Yemisi Opalola, confirming the incident, said security operatives evacuated the corpse of the deceased and deposited it in the morgue of the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.
The Police PRO noted that investigations have commenced and a manhunt is ongoing to arrest the cultists.

In similar incidents in Benue and Anambra, three persons each were also reportedly killed in cult clashes that erupted in the State.
