NSCDC CONFISCATE PMS ON WATERWAYS IN OGUN STATE

Operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun State Command, have confiscated 88 sacks of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), at Akere waterway, Ipokia LGA, Ogun State.


The operation was part of the command mandates in inhibiting oil thieves from the nation’s pipelines, and rivers, among others, which in result yield the confiscation of 88 sacks of PMS with approximately, 120 liters of PMS found in each sack.

The information available indicates that the stolen PMS was routed from Isalu, around Lagos State, via the waterways and are being carted to the Republic of Benin by these oil thieves. The suspects are currently at large. 


Meanwhile, the Commandant general has warned the public to desist from these illicit activities, he vowed to continue sabotaging the passage of such illegals and also bring perpetrators of the heinous acts to justice.
