BREAKING: NIMC WORKERS SUSPEND STRIKE
Staff of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) have suspended its industrial strike action.
The development comes barely 24 hours after workers of the commission decided to down tools over the fear of COVID-19 spread in their centres.
Workers of the commission had demanded for better welfare packages from the Government and also claimed that the recent spike in the number of visitors to the agency for registration of National Identification Number (NIN) has caused lots of stress to the staff.

Report says the workers decided to put the strike on hold after a meeting with the Federal Government, where it was agreed that the demands of the employees would be addressed.
Confirming the development, the President of Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, NIMC Unit, Asekokhai Lucky, said workers of the commission across the country were being contacted to resume work by Monday and commence the enrolment of citizens for National Identity Number (NIN).
