FIRE GUTS AGBOJU MARKET IN LAGOS

Agboju market in Festac, Lagos was gutted by fire in the early hours of Monday. 


The fire which started around 2:30 in the morning was brought under control by men of the Lagos State Fire Service about 2 hours later. 


No life was lost in the incident but a yet to be estimated number of goods and properties were lost in the inferno, the Nigeria police confirmed.


The incident happened barely a week after Eons Intelligence reported that the Sokoto Central Market was gutted by fire in the early hours of Tuesday, January 19.

ADVISORY: Traders should be encouraged to switch off all electrical appliances before leaving the market at night.
