NIGERIAN TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED BOKO HARAM UREA FERTILIZER SUPPLIER IN GEIDAM LGA OF YOBE STATE
The Nigerian Army troops of Sector 2 Joint Task Force, North East Operation, Hadin Kai have arrested a certain Yusuf Saleh, a suspected Boko Haram Urea Fertilizer supplier in Yobe State.
The suspect was arrested at Bayamari village in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Saleh was nabbed by the troops with a total of 38 (50Kg) bags of Urea following a tip off.
In a statement by Onyema Nwachukwu, Army PRO, the urea fertilizer has been banned by the Federal Government because of its usage in the manufacture of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) by terrorists.
He noted that the suspect is currently helping investigators with useful information.
