SENIOR OIL WORKERS COMMENCE 3 DAYS WARNING STRIKE

Members of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, (PENGASSAN) in four Federal Government agencies and institutes have commenced a 3-day warning strike over alleged non-payment of their salaries in the last three months.

Fortune Obi, PENGASSAN National Public relations officer, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday, August 11.

Obi said the salaries are being withheld due to the workers’ refusal to enrol into the Federal Government’s mandatory platform, the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

This is coming barely 24 hours after the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) called off its strike in Lagos, Eons Intelligence reports.
