BREAKING: EFCC SETS TO ARRAIGN TAMINU TURAKI, OTHERS TODAY
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is set to arraign the former Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, and three others before the Federal High Court in Abuja today.
In a statement signed by the EFCC’s Acting Head, Media and Publicity, Tony Orilade, Turaki and others will appear before Justice Inyang Ekwo on 16 counts charge over alleged fraud-related offences.
Turaki Presided over the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs from 2013 to 2015. He also served as the supervising Minister of Labour from 2014 to 2015 under the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The charge is marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/61/2020
Other defendants to be arraigned alongside Turaki are Sampson Okpetu, who served as his special assistant, as well as Samtee Essentials Limited and Pasco Investment Limited- companies allegedly owned by Okpetu.
