25 FEARED KILLED AS BANDITS ATTACK ZAMFARA COMMUNITIES
No fewer than 25 persons have been killed by bandits following the attack launched on 3rd of June 2023 within communities in Maradun LGA, Zamfara State.
The information available indicates that they invaded Janbako village on motorbikes at about 0200hrs and opened fire on the residents and killed 20 persons. The highly frightened residents scrambled into their houses for safety.
Thereupon, the armed criminals navigated through Sakkida community where they killed another five persons. Some of the slain residents have been buried.
Recall that about 16 vigilantes and many others, were killed barely one week in Kanoma district Maru LGA in this same State.
Meanwhile, Governor Dauda Lawal has expressed his displeasure over these several attacks and has ordered the Heads of security agencies in the state to swiftly deploy more security personnel to the affected communities to forestall further destruction of lives and properties in the area.
