BANDITS KILL 14 PERSONS IN SABON BIRNI LGA OF SOKOTO

Bandits have killed 14 persons in some communities in Sabon Birni LGA of Sokoto.

The incident occurred around 11pm on Tuesday November 16.

It was gathered that the bandits killed one Abdullahi Usman at Unguwan Lalle town, nine at Tsangerawa village, and four at Tamindawa village.

Sources say the bandits also opened fire on a commercial vehicle at Gajid village, resulting in the deaths of three persons, including the driver. Five other passengers, who sustained gunshot injuries, are currently receiving treatment in a hospital.

Reports indicate that the bandits also kidnapped three persons in the village. The victims were later released after an agreement that the locals would pay N2 million ransom within a few days.

These attacks come 24 hours after armed bandits killed not less than 15 residents in separate attacks at Goronyo & Illela LGAs of Sokoto State.

Also, recall that Eons Intelligence reported the attack by armed bandits on NSCDC personnel in Sokoto North LGA, where one security operative was killed and an operational vehicle was vandalized.
