BOKO HARAM KILL FOUR CHADIAN SOLDIERS, INJURE 20 OTHERS IN BOAT BLAST
An attack by Boko Haram fighters has left four Chadian soldiers dead and left at least 20 others injured in Lake Chad.
The incident happened on the night of Tuesday, November 24 in Lake Chad on a boat travelling near Ngouboua, around 25 km from the Nigerian border lake where authorities are battling Boko Haram jihadists. Multiple sources say the canoe conveying the soldiers exploded when it hit an IED device the Jihadists planted in the water.
Chadian authorities say the modus operandi is new as this is the first time the Jihadists would attack a boat using an IED.
“We are trying to find out if this is a new technique of Boko Haram,” Dimoya Souapebe, a district administrator in the town of Baga Sola told Reuters.
