GUNMEN KILL SEVEN PEOPLE IN BENUE VILLAGES
About seven people have been reportedly killed by gunmen within three communities of Logo LGA, Benue State.
The information available indicates that the attacks were allegedly launched by heavily armed men after they invaded Mchia, Arufu and Chembe villages in the morning of 8th January 2024 and another attack on the same day at about 21:00hrs.
The attack was launched within the Arufu and Chembe villages, where the gunmen shot at a commercial vehicle heading to Iorza loaded with passengers. All of them suffered various injuries and are currently receiving treatment in the hospital at Anyiin.
Meanwhile, the seven bodies have been recovered from bushes with the combined assistance of locals and police.
