BOKO HARAM KILLS 69 PERSONS, STEALS OVER 1000 CATTLE

Residents of Faduma Koloram village, Gubio Local Government Area (LGA), Borno State, are in anguish as Boko Haram (BH) insurgents launched a brutal attack killing about 69 villagers.

Sources say over 1000 cattle was stolen and farmlands were destroyed in the raid that took place yesterday afternoon around 12.15pm.

The assailants were said to have invaded the village in vehicles and on motorcycles, shooting sporadically with AK-47s.

It was gathered that the insurgents attacked the residents because they allegedly shared vital information on their movements with security operatives.

“They accused the people there of spying on them and vowed to teach them lessons. Virtually all the houses in the community were torched,” a security agent told reporters.

"It is an unfortunate day for us to witness this," said CJTF fighter Kachallah Bumu.

"They took us unaware and killed our people," he said.

The onslaught on Faduma Koloram village is the second in the State in the last 24 hours.

The terrorists had recently massacred residents of Malam Karamti village and Daban Shatta, in Borno State.
