BOKO HARAM STORM DAMBOA LGA OF BORNO, SET HOUSES ABLAZE
Boko Haram fighters Monday night stormed Komdi village in the Damboa LGA of Borno, looting several shops and setting houses ablaze.
Eons Intelligence gathered that the insurgents invaded the community around 5pm on motorcycles shooting sporadically.
The insurgents' invasion into Damboa had created tension and pandemonium amongst residents but the troops engaged them in a heavy gun battle, forcing them to retreat.
This comes two months after troops foiled a Boko Haram attack in Damboa town, Damboa LGA of Borno.
Recall, on October 30, Eons Intelligence reported that Boko Haram stormed Damboa Local Government Area of Borno state, killing two Mobile Policemen (Mopol) and setting their head office located in the town ablaze with three operational vehicles.
The attack was met with heavy resistance by the mobile police who engaged the insurgents in a gun battle. The assailants, who stormed the community in eight gun trucks, overpowered the security personnel and killed two of them in the ensuing shootout.
