BREAKING: NIGERIA POLICE EXTRADITES MAINA FROM NIGER REPUBLIC
Nigeria Police has extradited fleeing former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina from the Niger Republic.
The ex pension boss who is facing a 12-count money laundering charge levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission fled trial after securing bail.
He was arrested on Sunday, November, 30 in the Niger Republic and arrived Nigeria via an NPF Jet 5N-HAR at 2:17 pm, the Nigerian Police said.

The police announced his arrival in a statement released on its official Twitter handle.

The Nigeria Police Force has extradited Abdulrashid Abdullahi Maina, former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), today, 3rd December, 2020, to Nigeria from Niamey, Niger Republic,
The Court had earlier ordered the remand of a Senator representing Borno South who stood bail for Maina for failing to produce the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Task Team.
Ali Ndume Ndume, a senator representing Borno south, stood as surety for Maina with a N500 million bail bond so the ex-pension boss could make bail after spending over 7 months at the Correctional Centre.
